Mongolian Beef

  Ingredients ¼   cup   approximately plus 2 teaspoons vegetable or canola oil, divided 2   teaspoons   finely minced garlic 1   tablespoon   freshly minced ginger ½   cup   less sodium soy sauce ⅓   cup   packed brown sugar 1 ½   pounds   beef shaved steak   see recipe intro for more info 3   tablespoons   cornstarch 6   scallions   trimmed and thinly sliced (white and green parts) Hot cooked brown or white rice   to serve Directions In a small saucepan heat 2 teaspoons of the oil. This recipe for General Tso's chicken is battered crispy chicken pieces tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce. A take-out classic that's simple to make at home and even better than what you'd get in a restaurant!  I literally will only make this instead of going for takeout from here on. Chinese Coleslaw

Ingredients: 1 head cabbage - Slice and set aside 5 green onions - Slice and set aside Lightly brown @ 350 deg:  8 Tbsp sesame seeds  8 Tbsp slivered almonds Combine Dressing ingredients: 3/4 cup oil 6 Tbsp rice vinegar 4 Tbsp sugar 1 tsp pepper 2 tsp salt 2 tsp Accent Top with chow mein noodles just before serving.
